The gallery
is a space in which to converse.
In this
body of work we are exploring the idea of the gallery space as an environment
for conversation between the pieces
and a platform for enquiry.
By curating
the pieces in such a way, we are allowing questions
to be asked between the work; individually, in groups and as a whole. Conversations about medium, process and
context occur; with themes of femininity and masculinity, security,
conservation, intimacy, experience, structure and production.
The links
between the pieces are either tenuous and subtle or obvious and blunt, either
way a discussion point is created; both representationally and physically
